Gayhurst School

A new sports hall and performing arts auditorium

A new extension for Gayhurst School, an independent preparatory school in Buckinghamshire for children aged three to eleven. The new facility, which replaces three existing buildings, comprises a large sports hall and a performing arts auditorium as well as new staff areas. Externally a post and beam walkway formed of Larch glulam wraps around the building’s façade and leads to a bright, spacious new reception area formed of a Spruce glulam portal frame. G-frame were responsible for the design, supply and installation of the glulam portal frame for both the walkway and reception area.
