Family home and architect’s studio

A three storey building combining an office unit at ground level for Brouard Architects with a family home split over ground, first and second floors. The new building replaces a former village tearoom on a long and narrow site which only allowed space for a small mobile crane. G-frame were responsible for the design, supply and installation of the CLT structure. To overcome limitations presented by the tight site, the team developed a new system of erecting floor to ceiling sections one by one, working from the rear of the building.
